The 4th of July is the official start of Beach season for many. Make sure you arrive on trend and in style with these summer 2018 looks.
I’ve always loved swimwear season because I saw it as motivation to look my best. But looking your best varies person to person, and many people have negative feelings toward swimsuit season. My mission at The Inspo Edit is to inspire confidence in your style and, by extension, your body. Whatever your preference, I hope you feel confident and bold enough to share your swimsuit style this July 4th–whether that’s sharing it with your close family, or blasting a cute swimsuit photo on Instagram. Do what it takes to be happy and confidently you.
Pride month is coming to an end but their signature rainbow stripes are beginning to show up on clothing and swimsuits alike. This colorful look is sure to make you stand out in the pool or on the beach this summer. And what better time to showcase your on-trend style than July 4th, surrounded by friends and family? You’re sure to make a statement–fashionably or politically–when you don one of these proud, fun swimsuits.
Can’t decide between a bikini or a monokini? Well, you could try both in one. This cut-out-middle swimsuit recently popped up on my radar and I love it! The cut draws a rather round circle around your waist, which made me hesitate at first. But I find the suit flattering because the bottom half is cut high up on your waist, to just about the belly button. Since the opening is right at the smallest part of your waist, it emphasizes and hourglass figure. Likewise on the backside, it makes your but pop out more and your back look more slender. Additionally, the sides are tied up high, lengthening your legs and drawing more attention to your booty.
3. Straw hats
The thousands of travelers snapping Insta-perfect shots in these usually broad-brimmed straw hats caught on, and they’re back on trend this summer. But you don’t have to go abroad to wear one. With July 4th approaching, these beach-glam hats are on sale in all your favorite places, so go grab one and get snapping!
The smocked swimsuit has been a staple for toddlers for years. For adults, it’s typically reserved for sundresses and babydoll tank tops. But with the fit-bodice, ruffled-sleeve look taking over fashionable tops right now, it has also made it’s way to the adult’s swimsuit department. And I’m loving it, because this style adds a youthful, feminine look to your beachwear.
