You’ll walk right into next season with this retro ensemble.
You’re a fashion-savvy person, so you must be wondering why I’m writing about mules like they’re something new. Here’s why: you buy them once and wear them forever!
You already know mules are a great shoe for comfort and style (if you choose the right pair.) But these retro faux suede block-heeled mules, paired with a soft black miniskirt and western belt are my newest summer style staple. And because of the material, they’ll blend smoothly into my fall wardrobe too. I can’t wait to pair this shoe/skirt combo with a fluffy waffle sweater and a messy bun.
I grabbed most of this outfit at a blowout discount, meaning they’re last season’s styles. But the slight inward curve of the block heeled mule (closer look here) is having a fashionable moment on designer boots, so it keeps your look up-to-date. Also, I love the comfort that a block heel offers. Admittedly these are a little tough to break in at first, so I wore them around the house with a pair of socks on to help.
Plus, the discrete floral detailing on the western belt glam up a casual skirt or pair of jeans, while the western look dresses down a nicer skirt and shirt (as seen), keeping you effortlessly casual and cool.
